Dwarves, Mountain, White and their rarer siblings, live exactly 200 years. This is counted from their first breath as infants to when their hearts stop beating. Magical diseases, poisons, mishaps and violence can kill a dwarf sooner, but unlike humans they do not suffer from natural diseases. It is said the gods made them this way so that they may become masters of their arts yet strive at all times, knowing their lifespan is finite.

White Dwarves have infravision to 60’
Progression and Saving Throws as Dwarf. 

White Dwarves have Hide In Shadows and Move Silently abilities like thieves and limited Arcane Magic, like Magic Users. If they wear chainmail they cannot move silently unless it is magically silenced

Close cousins of mountain dwarves, White Dwarves are said to be dwarves who delved ever down. Their name comes from their skin, hair and eyes, which are very pale compared to their mountain relatives. Living deep underground has made them more pragmatic in the use of magic and in the gods they will honour. Usually thinner than Mountain Dwarves, White Dwarves have the knack of shadows about them and hide easily amongst the dark caves beneath the ground.  

Slower to rouse than their cousins but no less passionate when they are, the White Dwarves have cities open to trade, such as Dim Town and hidden cities that allow few aliens in and whose secrets they guard with fury. 

Relations between the two families are cordial, but the Mountain Dwarves mistrust the impious White Dwarves, while White Dwarves find Mountain Dwarves to be boorish and impractical. They may interbreed, so it is rumoured. 

White Dwarves are the principal inhabitants of the Dim Town.
